winner, winner, chicken dinner

i was soooo stoked, i made a layout for gloria's glorious pink challenge and i won for the month of august!!! soooo stoked!!! everyone else's layouts were awesome, too!! so thank you gloria and pink pineapple!! i hope i can make a layout for october's challenge...i was crazy busy in september and wasn't able to create a layout...anyways, had to brag. ;) woo hoo!!

sometimes life gets a little hectic...

so...where do i start? ok, let's start where i left off...here is the cliff notes version. ;)

july -
*doggy-sat midnight...she's so funny, she thinks she's little (she's a rottweiler)
*went to the mayhem festival with michael and joshua. hella HOT but super fun! slayer killed it!
*celebrated brother's bday :)
*saw a preview for "the ugly truth" with friends - totally cute movie!
*cropped at pink pineapple - love that store!!!
*went to vegas for a slot tournament and to get away for a few days.

august-
*went to disneyland & california adventure to celebrate edwards's 6th birthday-super fun!!!
he's sooo awesome and it was great to see jenny and her family again! :o)

* I GOT TO TAKE A GINGER CLASS at scrappin in the hillls...YAY!!! she's so awesome!! loved
the layouts she created and it was great taking her class. :o)
*went to hawaii to visit family and to celebrate hawaii's 50th year of statehood. :o) i went to
obon and even danced 2 dances. brother and char showed me how. yay! :) got to hang out
with some of brother's friends, super fun!! drank A LOT of starbucks. :) got to meet my 2
friends from sony hawaii, jamie and grace...they are sooo sweet!! hope to hang out with them
another time!

september-
*doggy-sat midnight again.
*cropped at mayra's house until 3am one night, i finished the "i'd pick you" mini album that i won from ally...woo hoo...it's always a great accomplishment when i complete something. hee.
mayra got stuff done too!

can you believe it is july, before you know it, it will be halloween and then thanksgiving and then christmas...holy moly...

and for the job scene, i am going for another job...not exactly what i am looking for but hopefully a stepping stone to the next and better job...and still thinking about doing a part time thing on the side...lots of stuff in the works...lots to think about...

call me crazy, but...so

ok, here's the story...a co-worker on my team last thursday receives an email saying she has manager access in our HR system. she doesn't manage anyone and she doesn't have a manager title. hhmm, ok, kinda funny, but i was stoked for her. :) so, the next day, friday she asks her boss why she has manager access and he tells her, he doesn't know, which i kinda want to call the bullsh** card cuz he's the VP of our group and he would have to sign off on something like that, but i totally believe her, cuz why would she lie?? then the next question is, why would HE lie? mmm...ok, so spur of the moment, i went to panda express for lunch and i usually don't eat my fortune cookie as i don't really like them, but today was a different story, so here's my fortune: YOU WILL SOON MAKE A CHANGE AT WORK...mmm, i was like, ok, well i'm looking on the job boards to see what i can apply for, so ok, i can buy this fortune. well, i go into my HR page and just purussing (sp) and i click on my job profile just for sh**s and giggles, well, i see that my friend that got manager access is now MY MANAGER!! heeellloooo, what the heck, man!!! so i'm a little stumped, i called her but she hasn't called me back, so i don't know what the heck is going on...so what do you think?

i really need to stop being so nice...

i do really need to stop being so nice and need to stop always wanting to help...i need to be selfish and think of myself more...seriously, no one else is going to take care of me but myself and lately, well always, i think of others first and think of myself and my well-being last, sooo...starting tomorrow (but really tonight) i am going to start thinking of doing more for myself...i even entertaining the idea of only having one job...LOL...unless it's making scrapbooks for peeps...at least if i do that as a second job, it will be creative...it will be a job, but at least it will be creative. :)

soooo....just a short post and sorry for venting but needed to be done...:) thanks for listening...and now off to do laundry, make lunch for tomorrow and take a shower...it's been a long day.

wow...

i've been away for a long time...i am sorry...well, to catch you up, i've been working (duh...lol) both jobs still. m-f at my first job, sat at the winery and sunday i usually hope to catch up on sleep. :o) so to catch you up...

back in april, kim and curtis had a party, super fun!!! i was the official photographer...;) went to vegas and stayed at the wynn hotel. we had an awesome room with an awesome view of their golf course in the back. we were almost on the top floor, sweet!! i would definitely go back to the wynn. it was a nice get away for a few days. i even got to hang out with a really good friend and her husband. we hadn't hung out in a long time, i was really happy to see them. :o) hope to see them soon. hopefully on the next trip out to vegas.

in may, i actually got to be creative...hey! most LSS were celebrating national scrapbook day (first sat in may) for the whole weekend. that was nice since i worked on saturday, i came out to play on sunday at pink pineapple and had a super fun-filled day with mayra...yay!! we got a lot done. michelle hill was there and taught 2 classes, i actually finished the layout (picture and journalling, heeelllloooo) and just need to add pictures and journalling to the mini acrylic album we made...they were super cute! it was a packed house and my L.A. friends were there, it was really good to see them also. on may 5th, i went to a "cinco de mayra" party...that was fun too, i helped mayra put out the food and drinks she made for a little mexican celebration. she had about 15 peeps over. it was nice to see peeps out of the work environment and she made some awesome grubbage!!! so thank you mayra for inviting me...:o) ok, the second day of being creative-ness happened may 9th...woo hoo! i went to visit ginger, star, and mom at scrappin' in the hills for lunch and ginger had room for me to take her class...yay!!! so actually got to create some pages, ginger always has cool layouts. all i have to do is add pictures and journalling. (there's been a lot of that lately huh? hee, i just have to do it...) it was great to see my friends (heart you ladies) and be creative, all in one day...it couldn't be any better. :o) so that is one of my goals this year is to complete projects that are not complete and also to complete layouts from the many kits that i have purchased over the years and to use up all the papers that i buy and collect. LOL...ok, even TIM HOLTZ said we are all collectors...so i am not the only one...LOL but i do want to leave some kind of legacy, even if i don't have any kids to leave it to, maybe my brother will like it. :o) on may 22, i got to go to a padres game...yay!! in the super cool toyota terrace...very, very nice. we had hot dogs and beer, peanuts too. wouldn't be a game without those 3 things...went with my peeps from work and took lots of pics...i'm getting christina prepared for the world of scrapbooking, hee...she, her hubby and her little man went, they were soo cute together and djoser was my new friend. :o) padres won that night, beating the chicago cubbies 4-0...GO PEAVY!! on a side note, mr tony stewart won his first race as an owner/driver...he won the all-star race...woo hoo!!! and his bday was 3 days later, i would say the win was an early bday present...LOL the last weekend in may, cougar had it's annual meritage blending party where our wine club members help to pick out the new meritage blend for next year. :o) sweet! i even did a little tasting after i got off work...pretty yummy tasting blends...and i have to say, i am liking more reds...i still love my sweet wines but am really starting to like reds. :o) looking forward to see what the summer holds...

tomorrow will be june 5th, my first full week of work in june...wow...time is flying...tomorrow night i'll be checking out the temecula balloon and wine festival with kim, curtis, and a bunch of their friends...should be a really great time. in the 3 years i've lived here, i haven't been to the festival and am really looking forward to it, especially with them. they are super cool peeps and i am really glad i met them...heart them!

and in all that time, i also applied for a new job but didn't get it...we had a lot of people retire and let go so there is a lot of change going on at my first job...i'd really like to get out of what i am doing but not sure what direction i really want to go into...but i am still hopeful and will still try for new stuff...

happy easter

i hope you all had a very happy easter spent with family and loved ones. mine was mellow, just chilled at home after my brother went to work, cleaned, watched a couple of movies ("bedtime stories" & "pineapple express"), took a nap, and got ready for monday at work. :) i know i've been slacking, but i hope to get caught up real soon and post pictures and layouts also. :) take care and much love!!

on a bummer note...

the un-valentine's day mixer was cancelled. :( boss said the numbers weren't good and not enough time for advertising the event. :( but she gave me positive feedback and she liked my ideas. the next mixer i plan will definitely happen! i'll fit all the pieces of the puzzle and it will be a success. :) this gives me more time to think up more good ideas. :) hee

happy new year!! i hope everyone's new year's eve was great!! ringing in the new year was awesome!! :) i was going to just stay home and one of my friend's texted me and had a few peeps over for a little get together. it was a blast and i am really glad i went. :) we had dinner, champagne/sparkling wine, yummy dessert, and lots of laughs.

new year's day i went to my aunty and uncle's house to celebrate the new year. we had awesome japanese food and more yummy dessert, hee...seeing that side of the family was also great. since i moved, i don't see them as often as i would like so i look forward to seeing them during the holidays.

oh and on a proud note, hee...:) just had to tell you all that i'm organizing my first event at the winery...yay!! it's the "un-valentine's day" singles mixer...i hope it's a great party and everyone has fun and i help make more people aware of my boss' winery. yay!! the idea behind the theme is that hopefully you'll meet someone at the party and that you two can go out on valentine's day for dinner. our performer is sheila sondergard, she rocks! all i have left is what we are having for snacks and i hope that lots of peeps want to go. :) wish me luck! i'm so stoked though to be given this chance. :)

so if you have any ideas for any games or what i should do to make this fun...PLEASE let me know! :) i appreciate all suggestions!!
