the weekend...

had a busy weekend! friday night, my friends had a port/wine party but you had to wear a silly or hideous or goofy christmas sweater...it was funny to see what everyone wore. one of the guys made the sweaters that he and his wife wore. he cut out a snowman and made a top hat and added a necklace to one sweater and a some other jewelry to the other sweater. it was very cool. i didn't have time to shop for a silly sweater but i was very thankful that my friend had an extra one. :) it was a blast! they were playing tons of drinking games like beer pong, flip cup, and using a 2 person beer bong, hee...everyone was pretty much having fun. here are a few pictures:

saturday i worked at the winery, but before i did, i took a drive to scrappin in the hills to see ginger and to my surprise, star and susan were there too!!! it was soooooo awesome to see some of the divas!!! didn't get to stay long but it was good to hang out! work was good on saturday, got to see some people that i hadn't seen in a while. 2 gals that i signed up for wine club stayed with us for like 2 hours or more...hee they were fun and i'm working on a business proposal to give to my bosses to possibly have a singles mixer at the winery...since i was on vacation before the holidays, i was thinking of doing a "un-valentine's day" type mixer, but have it either the week before or the week after valentine's day.

sunday was a day of rest and spent time with family....rest was nice...

still sick...but on vacation :)

hello...still sick...and i'm on vacation...lovely. :) it got worse while i was here in orlando so i stayed in a couple of days (not consecutively, so still sick...LOL). i would get better then go to see the mouse and then it was raining one night, not a good call to be out but hey it was mickey's very merry christmas party, couldn't miss that and the hot chocolate. hee :) then on another night, it was FREEZING! i'm usually not cold, but i was COLD. brrrr...do i look cold?

so far, i've been to gatorland, that was a pretty fun day, the magic kingdom twice (for mickey's christmas parties), disney's hollywood studios, disney's animal kingdom, epcot, and even got to go to richard petty's driving school for a ride along...super fun, they only went 140mph...i was hoping they would go faster...hee...i have a few more days here so i hope to ride on all the rides that i didn't get to before and see all the shows...i'm also hoping to get to universal studios and check out city walk also...

did i mention it's cold here at night? it's almost like being at home where it's 70-80 degrees during the day and then drops down to the low 50's at night...brrrr

been sick...

been sick for a week...blah...pretty sure i got it from jamie at the winery, no one else i knew was sick. i hate being sick and this cold has taken a toll on me that's for sure. been coughing and my throat has been sore...blah, but i hope to be over it soon...the dr said i would have to ride it out, for like a week or 2...

OH, got to check out the new james bond movie "quantum of solace" i liked it, lots of action! lots of kickin' butt...:) it was super nice, it was a work event, we even got a free popcorn and soda. sweet! and we got to see it before it was released...yay! saw the previews for "transporter 3" THAT movie looks awesome, i definitely want to see that one!

need to say prayers for all the people involved with the fires in southern california! it's been in a lot of different places over the weekend, even somewhat close to us...about an hour away...:(

and a big CONGRATULATIONS to jimmie johnson - 3 time sprint cup champion!! :) only 2nd racer in history to ever do it! woo hoo!! go jimmie!!!

suppose to be at sema but....

i am here in the bay area visiting some friends. :) it's been nice to get away and actually sleep for more than 5 hours a night. :) i've mostly been hanging out, went to a movie (eagle eye - was pretty good, we liked it) and tonight we should be going to dinner and a bar tonight, but it might be just a bar (hee), which is totally fine, i'm not high maintenance and tomorrow i fly back home as i have to work at the winery tomorrow...early flights suck but since i had to work i kinda had no choice. i feel bad for my friend that has to take me though.

i did go outside my normal box of flying southwest and tried virgin america. i really liked them, the had leather seats and a entertainment thingie just for you, just plug in your earbuds or purchase one from the friendly flight crew and you're set! it was a cool and the flight is only an hour and a half so pretty painless. i would definitely fly them again.

i did hear from my party people and i believe that they were having a good time, so all is well in the land of sema and the party train that goes with it...safe travels to all my buddies going home.

pretty good weekend

this weekend was pretty fun...saturday worked a long day at the winery but we got in some pretty good groups and some regulars came in, so all in all, a good day. :) sunday i went to the DUB custom auto show and concert at the san diego convention center. we met one of the owners/co-founder of DUB. he was awesome and walked the show with us and talked to us for like and hour and a half at least! the guy we were suppose to meet was running late, so myles took care of us. it's really amazing what they did with their company and how many alliances they have with corporate america. and they are still growing...that's stinkin awesome...and they give back to their communities and kids/people who are less fortunate...for example, they built a wii (i think, don't think it was xbox) into a wheelchair for kids so they could play it when they are in their chair and they tricked it out with with DUB lookin' rims...so cool...i'd like to be in an organization such as that...they give back, especially to kids.

i think myles would be an awesome speaker for our WAVE meetings, so inspirational and a kid from east l.a. to entrepeneur of the year...i think he would actually be a really cool mentor. he'd be really helpful to me, i believe. but he and his company are super busy...yeow...but i could always ask...all he could say is no, but at least i tried. :)

anyhoo...after that, we went to the hip hop live tour thingie at cane's in mission beach. it was pretty fun, VIP all the way, lots of peeps from work showed up...will post some pics later. :)

it's still summer...right?

wow...i cannot believe it is already the middle of september...nascar season is almost over, halloween is next month so that means the holidays are right around the corner. where did this year go?

i am stoked, i will be going to inspiration unlimited in las vegas and going to a crop one day in october...woo hoo! i'm excited about having some creative time. haven't had much lately but trying to make a change. :)

on a happy note, my boss at cougar said i can help out with the events that we have at the winery so i am becoming an event coordinator!! soooo stoked!! i trying to think of all kinds of things that we can do to promote our winery and have some really awesome events that our wine club members will enjoy and always want to participate in. but i do hope that i will gain a lot of experience and hopefully this will lead to a great new career move. :) i'm really happy that my boss has given me this opportunity. :) wish me luck! :)

the start of a long weekend...

so what's everyone doing this long weekend? me? i'm working at the winery tomorrow, sunday i'm going to the nascar race (pepsi 500) and hoping it's not too hot, but it's usually super hot during that race...but i so look forward to it!! :) and monday, i don't plan on doing too much. relaxing sounds really awesome!! sleeping and cleaning...maybe i'll go to the mall and shop...:)

OH! i picked up a new cd...duffy's "rockferry" i really like her song "mercy" but i LOOOVE "warwick avenue" it's a sad song but kinda hopeful, too. i don't know, i just like it. :)

it's 4 in the morning...

and i can't stay asleep...mmm not good when i need to go to work tomorrow morning. blah

so i just have been working mostly...we had an inter-winery event last thursday, all the wineries on de portola came to our winery and we all tried each other's wines. it was cool to know what each winery had.

also trying to plan out some scrapbooking time. :) need some creative time, i've been a little bummed about not being able to work on my projects....OH and speaking of creative, my boss at the winery said i could help out with our events...woo hoo, a little experience in the event planning area...woo hoo...i think i would do really well with this task. i mean i know you have your high maintenance peeps, but i just have to learn to deal with them.

also working on some vacation time...

i thought i was suppose to update my blog a lot more than i have...;) oops...well i hope to be back on track very soon...i have been working a lot...both jobs and then i've been pet sitting...you'd think i was free all the time, hee. ;)

here's the quick run down lately...

caught a couple of movies lately, "sex and the city" and "mamma mia" loved both! :) wouldn't mind seeing them again and i still want to check out "the dark knight."

been to a few inter-winery events at robert renzoni winery and the castle, this b&b in wine country. they have themed rooms and it looks like it would be a blast to party with a bunch of your girlfriends or a romantic evening with your man. :) also did some bottling at cougar, we bottled the full monte and primitivo...both red...yum. i really like working at the winery and jamie joined our family!!!! she rocks and she totally fits our family.

went to the orange county fair with kim (from the winery) and few of her friends. it was super fun, we saw OneRepublic. they were awesome!! phantom planet opened and they were great too. thank you again kim for inviting me!! yay!

jackie, trish and i went to try moroccan food one night. it was pretty good...interesting too! there was a belly dancer and she read our tarot cards after dinner and the people watching was priceless. :) super fun times.

i haven't been scrapbooking much lately. bummed about that...i like creating but hopefully soon.

and i hope to get to a nascar race or two before the end of the season. yay! :) we'll see though.

june gloom??

so yesterday it decides to drizzle after work, so that made the drive home stupid. the people here cannot drive in the rain...blah

anyways, so to catch up...well no traveling lately. boo on that...:( but have been pretty busy! jackie and harry were in san diego and they came up to visit me and we had dinner and a couple movies. :) we saw "what happens in vegas" (totally cute movie!) and the second narnia movie "prince caspian" (that was good, i didn't see the first one so i was a little lost...) so fun to hang out with them...

then i was house/cat sitting for a couple of weeks. it was cool and let me tell you, if i came home late, the kids let me know about it...hee...i came home late one night since i had a workshop and i got home after it got dark and as soon as i walked in the door, oh my gosh, they were like "where were you? don't you know we wanted to go outside?" blah blah, hee...i got home most days so they could play, but there were a couple of days that i had gotten home after it got dark...it was just funny...they were good. :) and being closer to work was nice also, especially with the cost of gas...

so what did y'all do for memorial day weekend? friday night i went to a crop at the pineapple, i saw lauri a few days before and she twisted my arm to go on friday...hee...:) i had blast with her and erin, michelle, and teri too! michelle h. even showed up for a bit. saturday and sunday i worked during the day and sunday night, i went to michelle h.'s house for a crop. i went kinda late since i had to work but we all stayed up until about 3am...i did get stuff done so i was happy. and shetara and brandon were there also. it was great to hang out with the gals!!! :) monday i was beat but mom & dad came to visit...that was cool! it's always great to see them!

more work...tried to rest too...OH and i've been doing the pampering thing lately...got my hair did, got a pedicure, treated myself to some fries and ranch dressing...hhheeelllllooooo....should have gotten a massage, too...hee

anyways, this weekend will be crazy busy...going to the dentist and then hooking up with my cousins from hawaii for dinner in costa mesa and then drive home and then in the next morning is michelle's "seasons of memory" class at the pineapple and then that night is DISCO FEVER at the greek theater...that should be super fun. if i have time, i'll look for an outfit but if not, i will still have a blast. k.c. and the sunshine band will be playing...deney terio (sp) will be a special guest. silly but it will be so fun...dancing in the aisles and singing toons...whew, i'm tired just typing it...hee...i am sad though as i will miss a crop with my diva sisters on saturday...:( i hope to get together with them all soon...we've been having trouble hooking up all together.

hello race fans! :)

it's nascar day...not sure what i am suppose to really go but support the foundation and show my favorite driver pride, hee...so i am...i'm wearing my tony stewart ladies garage style shirt and wearing my little nascar pin...5 years and going strong! the all star race is this weekend also...woo hoo! all star pit crew challenge was last night...it was good! congrats to brian vickers 83 team...they really stepped up and kicked some booty!

it's also ride your bike to work day...i did not...not 40 miles one way thank you very much...maybe if i was closer but there are a lot of hills by work...so probably not...hahahaha

and it is friday...and a happy friday to all!!! :) stoked it is friday, it's been a long week...

i got to see "wicked" at the pantages theater a couple weeks back...that was a really good musical!! i'm sooo glad i got the chance to see it and the performance that we saw had both back-up performers for the main characters...they were awesome! i'm hooked!! plus we had excellent seats and the company was awesome as well. :) so i thank you jackie and harry for inviting me! :) woo hoo...

the quick rundown...

soooo mostly been working...my first job and the second one...:)

march was a pretty busy month...been working on my goal of getting projects done. :) sort of being successful, been working on stuff but not quite completing as much as i would like to, but doing it. went to the leap year crop at the pineapple with mayra, then a couple weeks later went on the bus tour with the pineapple. that was super fun also. val, darleen, and mayra went...woo hoo! we went to pink pineapple, it's about time, and scrappin' good times...all the stores were so fun and all the projects and gifts were awesome! i've been to all the stores before, but i wanted my friends to check out all the stores too...yay! saw lots of friends on the bus tour and erin was such an awesome hostess!!! but i think the best part of the day was the crop at the end. the gals at the pineapple were soooo fun and we were singing and dancing and just being goofy and having the best time!! i hope we get to do it again soon!!! then at the end of the month was ginger's fun in the sun crop...sooo cool to see diva trish and diva star and diva ginger, mom, tashia, leslee, marylu, and all the other ladies i haven't seen in a long time...and i even got stuff done. :) hee

april was pretty busy also...at the beginning of the month, mayra and i cropped at dar's house all day...we always get pages done when we hang out...that was a blast, we plan on getting together again for more cropping. :) i took michelle hill's 2nd "seasons of memories" class...that was super fun, she always has great ideas and i always learn at least one new technique at one of her classes. speaking of michelle, i've also been going to her workshops at the pineapple to work on her projects and/or classes we've taken from her. it's cool since we can ask lots of questions and see the original projects to work on ours. :) yay...

during april, i saw bon jovi and daughtry with jackie at the staples center...SUPER FUN!! it was a really great concert and to see his "fans thru the ages" was quite interesting to say the least...the "older" fans that are trying to bring back the old days, little kids that are new fans and the ones in between...both bands put on a really good show. the duet with chris daughtry and jon bonjovi sounded awesome!!! i had an absolute blast!!!!

the next day, val and i went to phoenix for the nascar race...woo hoo!!! i had soo much fun with her!!! the weather was sooo nice, it was HOT but dry...the whole weekend was super nice. the race was good, we met some of the drivers before the race and after the race, we got to meet drew lachey...nick was making a bee-line out of the track. but ok this is one of the best parts of the trip....i got to go to a HOBBY LOBBY!!! hee :) it's a cool store...and then we went to islands before the race...yum-o...it was a night race so we had some time before getting to the track...it's always a fun adventure with val...OH and we also went into scottsdale...that is one cute town, we went to old town scottsdale and walked around the shops and restaurants...that was fun.

with my new team at work, we went to a san diego padres game. we got really good seats...we were up in the tower suites...right above 1st base and straight across the scoreboard. very nice and we even got ice cream bars for dessert! :)

for NSD i actually went to town to see my family and celebrate mother's day early since it's pretty crazy that weekend...the night before, i went to the pineapple to celebrate NSD, hung out with some peeps, got a mother's day project almost done and had a really good time. the crop was sold out too...

okay, so that should catch me up so far...:) take care and i hope to update again soon...and will upload some pics. :) cuz i take so many...hahaha

happy earth day :)

did you do your part today? hee :) our company gave us re-usable mugs (they look like travel mugs) and we got either a free cup of coffee or soda and every time you bring it into the cafeteria, you get 10 cents off or something. lovely... :) they were taking old batteries and they had peeps talking about how to be more green in your life. i usually recycle all my cans and bottles and whatever else i can. our company has been pretty big on the green thing lately...so i do my part. i'm also thinking of getting those cloth bags to use when we go shopping. bummer no more plastic bags!! ;)

anyways...i'm still in the process of getting caught up...tonight i go to dinner with the gals...to olive garden, we want salad and breadsticks...yum-o

just been crazy busy...but i'll getcha all caught up, i have almost 2 months...:O

oh my goodness, i cannot believe how behind i am...i have a lot to update you on... :)

it's march already?

man, it's march already...before you know it, it will be the 4th of july, then it will be halloween and then it will be christmas...like in a blink of an eye...

this month is going to be busy...worked this past weekend, working this weekend, going on a scrapbook store bus tour, hopefully hanging with some friends, too, and then there's easter, daylight savings...and of course there's nascar. :) hopefully get a couple of days of cropping in so i can get projects done...and then perhaps i will travel in april for nascar...there's a couple of races i want to attend. of course i want to go to all of them, but this little thing called a job doesn't let me. hee ;)

AND over the weekend, i also saw some of my fellow divas!!! woo hoo!! hi diva trish, heidi, susan, & star!!! it was soooo cool to see y'all!!! i'm sorry i arrived so late...perhaps the next time, i can hang out all day! :) that would be cool.

happy leap year...

well almost...tomorrow is leap year...today is valerie's bday...HAPPY BDAY VAL!!! I hope your day is fabulous!! :)

i can't believe it is almost the end of february...when did i post last? i'm sorry...so to catch up...3 weekends ago i went to disneyland (short notice) with mike and his family. that was fun, went to california adventure and then on the disney side...finally checked out the nemo ride...pretty cool...but disney is always fun. :) i was lucky to go to CHA for a couple of days so it was nice to see friends...HI SUBEE (arms waving!!) it was sooo cool to see her, it seems like forever since i have seen any of the divas. :( but i was really happy to see her...and hey, we forgot to take a picture!! saw a lot of great new product and new lines, very cool. then for valentine's day, i went out with the girls to del mar and had dinner at bully's. that was fun, real mellow place and thank you to john for my drink and the round of shooters for all of the gals. you rock! then that saturday, mayra had her 3oth bday party, 70's style!! it was soooo fun! she had a dance floor and all the decorations were disco balls and glitter and i was the mixologist...i had a blast making drinks for everyone. i think i did pretty good...everyone seemed happy. :) then sunday was the daytona 500...unfortunately, i had to miss the race live, but my bosses at the winery were cool enough to have it on their tv while i was working. :) so all was good...i caught some of the start and definately caught the end...so happy the season has started...HI TRISH!!! (arms waving!!) woo hoo...i am hoping to travel to some races this year again...:) indy for sure and hopefully the phoenix race in april...woo hoo!! then michelle hill had her workshop at the pineapple, so i went to that and got more of my kits completed...yeah! i really like the workshops...helps me get stuff done. speaking of getting stuff done, mayra and i are going to the leap year crop at the pineapple tomorrow. :) yeah! it's from 6pm to 2am...so i hope to get lots done!!! and i'm definately bringing some rockstar for the late night. i plan on getting things done. :) then i work at the winery over the weekend, both days, but i do hope to see some of the divas at it's about time saturday night after i get off work. :) yeah! i asked to work early so i could go to the store and hang out for a bit. :) the winery is having a wine club pick up party/event, i can help for a bit, but then i want to see my friends!!!! :) anyways...back again later...xoxoxo

tonight i hung out with my friend, leah. :) we checked out pink pineapple (super fun store!!), elena was leading the book club tonight...i should join, it looks like a lot of fun! then leah and i ate at islands...love islands! love island fries with ranch dressing...YUM!! it was awesome to hang out and catch up on things...sending good thoughts for your "new job" girl!!! :)

this weekend is the budweiser shootout...heeeelllloooo nascar!!!! soooo stoked!! i should be home to watch the race...and then next weekend...the daytona 500....woo hoo AND there a lot of saturday night races this season...that's cool...you know i will be home...hee

happy bday to me...

hee, just being a dork...:) i didn't realize i have not posted in a long time...sorry about that! :O guess i've been busier than i thought...:O my bday has been pretty good, i'm actually in seihan. fun fun fun! blah...it's moving along, tho. :) lunch is from brett's bbq...YUM! and tonight a few of us are going to get together at chevy's for a couple of cocktails. :) yesterday was cute, mike b. organized a bday lunch for me at the elephant bar...food was good, company was great, and the dessert was awesome!!! we ordered a mud pie...holy moly...soooo yummy!! but i get to celebrate all of february right? since my bday is at the end of the month?? hee :)

weekend was good...cougar winery had our holiday party friday night at the castle near wilson creek's winery. the castle looks like a castle and all their rooms are themed, they have an egyptian room and a medieval room fully equiped with handcuffs and a whip (i swear!!) the food was excellent and the chef paired cougar winery's wine with what she was cooking up :) the food was yummy...and for dessert, we had tiramisu (sp) and jen (one of the owners) even brought the primitivo port for us to drink :) YUM, that was GOOD!!!! then over the weekend i just worked at the winery. saturday was rockin' but sunday was a little slow....but all in all, it was a good weekend. :) my brother and a few of his friends came to visit me on saturday, that was fun!!! :) the rain in southern cal has been insane!! over the weekend was pretty crazy and it floods where i work at the winery so it sucked driving home...i went thru all the mud, water, sand, and rocks and junk from the vinyards...my poor car. :( and monday was pouring! rick and i couldn't believe how nutso it was in temecula, but when tom called, rancho bernardo was just sprinkling...whatever! we need the rain but man! the rest of this week should be ok also...but towards the end we should be getting more rain...lovely!

my "regular" work has been ok too...i changed categories, so now i am working for the home audio team. they are great people. :) gina (my team mate) does A LOT of reports!! so learning a lot in excel, i will be excel savvy in no time, hee...she rocks, she is sooo fast...she's like click click done...i'm not quite as fast...yet...i'm bummed tho, she is leaving for vacation this friday (feb 1) and not returning for 2 weeks...i still have questions about all these reports...i don't know them yet, but i hope to be ok while she is gone...and i hope she comes back!! :D

goals

so i am trying to stick to my goals this year. :) so far, i'm doing ok. :) i took michelle hill's "seasons of memories" class...super fun!! lots of color, lots of glitter, and lots of doo-dahs!! i can't wait to finish and add my photos!! :) met some really nice ladies at the class and saw some friends that i hadn't seen in a while. so this takes care of my goal to go to one class a month. :)

michelle is also doing a workshop once a month at pink pineapple to help finish her kits that she sells on polka dot whimsy...very cool! i may actually finish those projects if i am able to go every month, hee! :) so going to her workshop also takes care of my going to a crop at least twice a month. one down and hopefully i can schedule one more before the month is over. yeah!! i am really trying to finish projects this year. i mean really finishing projects-photos, journaling, everything. :)

this weekend is scrapfest at del mar fairgrounds...anyone going? i'll be there saturday...should be fun! i've never been to this event before.

hey...back from vegas...again. :) i went to the CES show in las vegas for work...went out sunday back the next friday...and to top it off, i caught a cold...bummer! :( i didn't even go out hardly when i went this time..i was only out late once, er maybe twice, but that was it!! anyways, so i am getting over this thing so this post may not be too long...anyways, the show was good, we had an awesome looking booth!! i mostly worked in the suite with the sales guys, but did get to walk the show floor a few times...saw lots of new products, saw a new phone i want, hahaha and a new tv stand with receiver/speakers, too! hee

anyways, only went out one night...we went to monster cable's awards party. mary j blige performed...she was awesome, then went to the after party and got my dance on!!! i was happy about that! didn't think i was going to get to go out dancing but i did. :) saw some friends that i hadn't seen in a long time. mostly happy to see aaron...rick brought him up to the suite on monday to say hi. it was soo great to see him. he was at the party too...sure was rough waking up the next morning!

happy new year

happy new year everyone! i hope that 2008 is an awesome year for all of us. :) so far for me it has started pretty good. :) last night i had to work at the winery for a private party with the wild and crazy hashers. :) they were all having a great time. i was a good girl and didn't drink during the party except for a little bit of champagne at midnight, other than that, it was black cherry cream soda which looked like i was drinking red wine. :) jason (one of the hashers) didn't believe i was drinking soda until he had a sip. hee got lots of new year's hugs and some kisses too...crazy fun! :)

then today, i went to my aunty's house in hollywood. they celebrate new years in a big way and the food is always awesome. this is the one time of the year that i get some really good homemade japanese food and a lot of traditional foods that they eat to celebrate the new year. i forgot all the names to the dishes but they are delicious!!!! and of course it is always great to see family. since i live farther away, i only see this side of the family during new years. all in all, it was a great day! :)
